Renaming Aadampur Airport

JAMMU, Feb 4: Jammu and Kashmir BJP vice-president and Prabhari of BJP SC Morcha Bharat Bhushan (DDC Chairperson), expressed gratitude to Prime Minister, Narendra Modi for paying due respect and honour to the revered saint Guru Ravidass Ji.
Addressing a press conference here, today along with J&K BJP SC Morcha president, Dharminder Kumar, party spokesperson, Balbir Ram Rattan, SC Morcha vice-president and SC Morcha general secretary, Seema Devi, he described Guru Ravidass Ji as a great saint, poet of the Bhakti Kaal, and a pioneering social reformer who dedicated his life to the upliftment of society and the fight against social discrimination and inequality.
Bharat Bhushan highlighted that during PM Modi’s visit to Jalandhar on February 1, the Aadampur Airport was renamed after Guru Ravidass Ji, calling it a historic step that reflects Modi’s deep respect for the saint and the sentiments of the SC community. He further mentioned that the Modi-led Government recently conferred the prestigious Padma Shri Award upon Sant Niranjan Dass Ji the head of Dera Sachkhand Ballan near Jalandhar, which has been widely appreciated by the SC community.
Bharat Bhushan informed that projects worth approximately Rs 400 crore, spread across 113 acres, including the installation of a statue, museum, community hall, park, and other infrastructure, have been inaugurated there. Besides, a grand temple dedicated to Guru Ravidass Ji in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, at a cost of around R100 crore, as well as renovation and development works at the historic Tughlaqabad site associated with the saint.
Dharminder Kumar stated that the consistent efforts of Prime Minister, Modi to honour Guru Ravidass Ji and other social reformers demonstrate the Government’s commitment to inclusive governance and social empowerment. He added that the SC community feels deeply respected and acknowledged under the leadership of PM Modi, who has worked tirelessly to bring marginalized sections into the mainstream of national development.
Balbir Ram Rattan said that Guru Ravidass Ji belonged to all sections of society and worked tirelessly for the welfare of humanity as a whole. He lauded the Modi-led Government for giving long-overdue recognition and respect to the sacred places associated with Guru Ravidass Ji, thereby preserving his legacy and spreading his message of equality and social harmony across the nation.
