KATHUA, Jan 25: Kathua police has recovered a missing minor girl within six days whose report was registered at Police Station Billawar and reunited here with family members after completing all legal formalities.
Police said on January 19 one lady namely Ruksar Begum, wife of Mukhtiyar Ahmad of Kishanpur tehsil, Billawar district Kathua came in this Police Station, Billawar and lodged a written complaint regarding missing of her daughter name (witheld) Age-14 years. On receiving a complaint a case FIR No 11/2026 U/S 137(2)/BNS has been registered and investigation started.
During the further course of investigation, the police team of Police Station (PS) Billawar made a technical analysis of given phone numbers. After analysis, team of PS Billawar was constituted which was led by SHO, Billawar Inspector, Zaheer Mushtaq under supervision of SDPO Billawar, Neeraj Padyar and overall supervision of SSP, Kathua Mohita Sharma to trace out the minor girl.
The police team searched at various places in Billawar as well as other areas of district Kathua but the minor girl could not be traced out. Few days later, police team of Billawar putting efforts for tracing out the minor girl went to Delhi, Hyderbad etc and with its strenuous efforts the Billawar police traced the missing girl from Hyderabad. She was brought to Police Station, Billawar and handed over to her legal heirs after completing all legal formalities.
