BJP leaders term VB G RAM G Act historic step towards Viksit Bharat

JAMMU, Jan 25: As part of the VB G RAM G Janjagran Abhiyan, the Jammu & Kashmir Bharatiya Janata Party organized a series of Gram Choupals (village meetings) at different locations across Jammu to create awareness about the Central Government’s village-focused welfare schemes and to ensure last-mile delivery of benefits to the rural population.
BJP J&K president and Rajya Sabha MP, Sat Sharma, CA, addressed Gram Choupals at several places. He, along with Prabhari Vinay Gupta, MLA Mohan Lal Bhagat, Mandal president, Shamsher Singh, Sarpanch Ashwani Sharma, and other senior leaders, addressed a Gram Choupal at Sungal C Panchayat in the Akhnoor Assembly constituency. He also addressed a Choupal at Panchayat Jandyal in Nagrota constituency, accompanied by district president Nand Kishore Sharma. Another Choupal was organized at Sungal B, where Sat Sharma was accompanied by district president, Kuldeep Sharma, MLA Mohan Bhagat, Mandal president, Shamsher Singh, and other leaders.
While addressing the Choupals, Sat Sharma said that the VB G RAM G Act is a historic and visionary step towards building a “Viksit Bharat” by empowering villages and strengthening grassroots democracy. He emphasized that the Act reflects the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s commitment to inclusive, transparent, and corruption-free governance.
Meanwhile, J&K BJP general secretary (Organization), Ashok Koul, along with district president, Jammu, Naresh Singh, Mandal president, Pushkar Sharma, Mandal vice presidents, Kunti Devi and Rajat Sharma, and Booth president, Capt. (retd) Rajinder Singh, addressed a Gram Choupal at Gadi Garh in R.S. Pura constituency.
Ashok Koul said that unlike earlier rural schemes which were plagued by corruption, leakages, and political favoritism, VB G RAM G ensures direct benefits to the people, transparency in implementation, and accountability at every level. He said that the Abhiyan strengthens grassroots democracy by involving villagers in nation-building.
Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) from Jammu-Reasi Parliamentary constituency, Jugal Kishore Sharma, along with MLA SMVD Assembly constituency, Baldev Raj Sharma, DDC, Rajinder Mengi, DDC, Nirmala Devi, district president, BJP, Rohit Dubey, Pawan Dev Singh and senior BJP leaders, today toured village Sirha and village Klara in the SMVD Assembly constituency. The visit included a series of public outreach and awareness meetings aimed at empowering local communities and informing them about key Government initiatives.
A special programme was held at village Sirha, block Panthal. Another engaging public meeting took place at Village Klara, in Panchayat Kotli Manotra, which saw enthusiastic participation from the local population.
Addressing the gatherings, Jugal Kishore Sharma highlighted the significant reforms introduced in the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA), which has now been revamped as Viksit Bharat Guarantee For Rozgar and Aajeevika Mission-Gramin VB-GRAMG. He stressed that MGNREGA, was framed nearly 20 years ago, required reforms to align with the changing times. Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi , Minister of Rural Development, Shiv Raj Singh Chauhan has introduced VB-GRAMG to ensure greater transparency, accountability, and zero leakage of public funds.
Another programme was organised in Mandal Majalta in Udhampur district. The programme was chaired by Ranbir Singh Pathania, MLA Udhampur East, who was the main speaker on the occasion.
A detailed discussion on the VB G RAM G Scheme was organized during a Chaupal meeting at Chari Omala Mandal and Chenani Mandal in the Chenani Assembly constituency. The programme was attended by MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia as the chief guest, along with BJP district president, Arun Gupta, general secretary, Sunil Badial, general secretary, Sumit Gupta, secretary, Jagdev Singh Jagga, and other party leaders.
