Cong raises water scarcity, road condition at Jagti town

JAMMU, Jan 24: JKPCC has expressed great concern over the failure to restore drinking water supply to the residents of Jagti Township in Nagrota which has been disrupted for the last few days and demanded early restoration of water supply, besides urgent repairs of approach road from Nagrota to Jagti township.
A deputation of the KP residents of Jagti township, Nagrota met with Ved Mahajan, Ex-MLC I/C HQ and narrated their grievances regarding scarcity of drinking water problem and road connectivity. He said the residents complained that the routine supply of drinking water in their area has been disrupted from the last few days besides link road from Nagrota to Jagti Township is in dilapidated condition. As a result the inhabitants are facing great hardships.
The condition of quarters is also not good because of leakage of water from roof and walls. The deputation further said that they have approached to the concerned authorities repeatedly but all in vain and residents are suffering.
Senior PCC leaders drew the attention of the Govt towards this basic needs of the people and demanded that Govt. should ensure proper supply of drinking water to the people besides repair of link road and renovation of damaged quarters in the Jagti Township Nagrota on priority.
The deputation consisted members of PCC Migrant Cell including– Raj Nath Dhar, Shuban, Dalip Kumar, Maharaj Krishan, Vindo Dhar, RL Bhat, Vinod Bhat, S.K Bhat and others.
