Telangana, Journey partner to launch AI-focused design center of excellence

HYDERABAD, Jan 24 : The Government of Telangana, via its AI innovation arm Aikam, has entered a strategic collaboration with global design and innovation firm Journey Corporate Holdings, LLC to establish a Center of Excellence (CoE) for AI-driven design in Hyderabad.

The CoE will focus on AI-enabled immersive experiences, digital twins, and virtual video production, aiming to create high-value jobs and strengthen Telangana’s capabilities at the intersection of AI, design, and enterprise innovation, an official release said here on Saturday.

Sanjay Kumar, Special Chief Secretary, IT & Industries, said the initiative reinforces Telangana’s strategy to attract global companies and build long-term high-end talent.

Journey CEO Andrew Zimmerman emphasized the partnership will blend creative intelligence with AI to serve global clients while developing local expertise.

Phani Nagarjuna, CEO of Aikam?, said that design is “a critical bridge between advanced AI and enterprise adoption,” highlighting the center’s role in anchoring global-grade AI capability in Telangana.

The collaboration positions Telangana as a destination for cutting-edge design, creative technology, and AI talent, catering to global markets.
