DAVOS, Jan 23: Against the backdrop of the World Economic Forum 2026 in Davos, convened under the theme “A Spirit of Dialogue”, Dr Varun Suthra contributed to a series of conversations shaping contemporary global thought on equity, sustainability, and cooperative leadership.
The annual gathering brought together policymakers, parliamentarians, academics, and civil society leaders to reflect on shared challenges in an increasingly interconnected world.
During the forum, Dr Suthra addressed a focused session convened by Dr Nik Gugger, Member of the Swiss National Council and President of the Swiss-Indian Parliamentary Group. Hosted at the House of Switzerland, the session was supported by the Embassy of Switzerland in India, under the leadership of Ambassador Maya Tissafi. The discussions centred on cross-border collaboration, responsible innovation, and the role of dialogue in strengthening democratic and economic partnerships.
Throughout the week, Dr Suthra engaged in thoughtful exchanges with state and national leaders, Parliamentarians from multiple jurisdictions, Chief Ministers and Cabinet Ministers from Telangana and Kerala, as well as eminent scholars and Nobel Laureates. These interactions reflected a shared emphasis on listening, learning, and building consensus across political and institutional boundaries.
