JAMMU, Jan 13: At least nine persons were injured in separate road accidents in Jammu district today, officials said.
They said three persons, identified as Sunil Kumar son of Prem Nath, his wife Nidhi Sharma (29) and Chanchala Devi (60) wife of Rashpal, all residents of Sohanjana sustained injuries when a scooty they were riding was hit by an unknown vehicle near their house.
Initially, they were taken to PHC Sohanjana from where they were further taken to Government Medical College Jammu, said officials.
In another accident involving the collision of an oil tanker with a car at Narwal, two persons, identified as Govind Singh (45) son of late Vijay Singh and Abdul Rashid (40) son of Ahmed Din, both residents of Khwas, Rajouri, were injured.
They were also admitted to Government Medical College Jammu, where they were responding to the treatment when this report was filed.
Four other persons sustained injuries after a bus they were travelling in skidded off the road and rolled down at Chowki Choura area.
They were identified as Sanjay Kumar (43) son of Krishan Singh of Kheri Bantallab, Jammu, Mohammad Sadiq (40) son of Dil Mohammad of Rajouri, Anita (40) wife of Ashok Kumar of Akhnoor and Tanzeem Akhtar (38) wife of Mohammad Sadiq of Rajouri.
Officials said initially they were taken to PHC Chowki Choura from where they were further referred to Government Medical College Jammu for advanced treatment.
Meanwhile, police have registered cases under the relevant sections of the law at concern police station and started further investigations into the matters.
