SRINAGAR, Jan 10: Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, Army Commander of Northern Command, visited forward areas in North Kashmir today to review the prevailing security situation and assess the operational preparedness of Army formations and units deployed in the region.
During the visit, he was briefed on the ground security scenario, operational challenges, and measures being taken to maintain peace and stability. He also carried out an on-ground review of troop deployment, surveillance systems, and response capabilities in the forward areas.
The Army Commander interacted with the officers and soldiers at various locations and appreciated their high morale, professionalism, and dedication while performing duties under challenging conditions.
He lauded the effective use of modern technology and innovative practices at the tactical level to improve operational efficiency and situational awareness.
Lt Gen Sharma urged all ranks to remain alert and maintain a high level of readiness, reaffirming Northern Command’s commitment to ensuring strong security and contributing to peace and stability in the region.
