Various delegations call on LG Ladakh

LEH, Jan 2: Various delegations called on the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Kavinder Gupta, here today and were reaffirmed of the UT Administration’s commitment to the welfare of Ladakh’s people with a focus on inclusivity and equal representation across communities.
A delegation from Voice of Buddhist Ladakh apprised the Lt Governor of their body’s formation to represent the Buddhist community and advocate their causes.
They requested his intervention to ensure their concerns reach the Ministry of Home Affairs and the inclusion of their representative in High-Powered Committee meetings.
A delegation from Neyraks, Singge Lalok raised key issues, including school upgradation, reliable network connectivity, and tourism development.
President of PAGIR, Thukjey Tashi, requested that the upcoming Khelo India Winter Games be inclusive, with participation by persons with disabilities.
During interactions, the LG reiterated that the Government of India remains steadfastly committed to Ladakh’s development and the benefit of its people, ensuring equitable opportunities across diverse communities and societies.
All delegations were assured that their representations would be forwarded to relevant authorities for time-bound resolution.
