They said the raids were conducted at the instance of Yasir Ahmad Dar, one of the accused in the case, who was brought to the locations by the agency during the searches.
Dar, a resident of Shopian district was arrested from New Delhi by NIA on December 18 and booked under relevant provisions of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UA(P) Act), 1967, and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023.
Dar, the ninth accused arrested in the case by NIA, had allegedly informed investigators about the locations, prompting the searches.
NIA investigations have revealed Dar’s active role in the conspiracy behind the car bomb blast. An active participant in the conspiracy, he had sworn allegiance and taken an oath for carrying out self-sacrificial operations.
After his arrest investigations had also found Yasir was in close contact with the other accused persons in the case, including Umar Un Nabi -the deceased perpetrator of the bombing- as well as Mufti Irfan.
