Gear up for ULB, Panchayat polls: Bimla Luthra

JAMMU, Dec 28: Former MLA and State vice president Women Wing of JKNC Bimla Luthra urged party women workers to intensify their preparations for the forthcoming Panchayat and Urban Local Body (ULB) elections in Jammu and Kashmir.
She called for collective efforts to strengthen grassroot democracy and ensure the victory of JKNC candidates.
Addressing a gathering of party women workers at village Slaid Kothe in R.S Pura today, Bimla Luthra strongly criticized the previous Government led by the BJP, alleging its failure to deliver basic amenities to rural areas. She pointed out the lack of development and public welfare initiatives under the BJP administration, which, she said, had adversely affected the lives of people in villages and far-flung regions.
Luthra said that the Omar led Government initiatives were aimed at empowering the women through skill development, financial assistance, and employment generation programs, paving the way for a more secure and progressive future for the younger generation.
On this occasion ration was  distributed among the poor and needy people at Prem Nagar, Church.
Among those who were present on the occasion included: Madhu, Baljeet Kour, Vijay, Asha, Bharti, Darshana, Sunita and others.
