JAMMU, Dec 27: MLA Bahu constituency, Ch. Vikram Randhawa inaugurated the work of lanes and drains at Khoo Wali Gali, Trikuta Nagar, Ward No. 53 of JMC, with a total cost of Rs 31 lakh.
The inauguration was carried out in the presence of Mandal president, Nitish Mahajan along with his team, in the presence of officials from JMC and local dignitaries, and the contractor.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Ch. Vikram Randhawa said that such development works are being undertaken after proper assessment of local needs and public demand. He stated that strengthening internal lanes and drainage systems will not only improve cleanliness but also enhance the overall quality of life of the residents. “Such grassroots development works are vital for public convenience, sanitation improvement, and ensuring sustainable urban infrastructure for future generations.”
The MLA also appreciated the sincere efforts of JMC and the contractor for executing the work efficiently and with commitment. He directed the concerned officials to ensure transparency, quality construction, and timely completion of the project.
Mandal president, Nitish Mahajan lauded the initiative and said that the work reflects the MLA’s dedication towards resolving long-pending civic issues at the grassroots level.
At the end, local residents and representatives expressed their heartfelt gratitude to MLA Ch. Vikram Randhawa for fulfilling their long-standing demand and for his continuous efforts towards the development of Trikuta Nagar and the entire Bahu constituency.
