JAMMU, Dec 27: All India Kashmiri Pandit Conference (AIKPC) has appealed the Government to look into the long pending problems of Kashmiri Pandit community on priority basis.
In a statement issued here, today AIKPC president, Rajinder Kilm said that Government should frame a policy in settling the rehabilitation issue of the community leading and exiled life for last 36 years. He said in case the Government continues to ignore the demands of the community, Pandits will be left with no alternative except to come to streets.
He also appealed the Government to hold talks with the leadership of Kashmiri Pandits on the vital issues facing the community. He said it is unfortunate that neither any Minister nor MLA bothers to visit the camps and non camp localities inhabited by displaced people from Kashmir to have at and on study of their problems.
He also demanded that more staff be deployed in Relief organisation so that the routine work does not suffer and migrants are not put to unnecessary problems.
