Two drug peddlers’ properties worth Rs 2 crore attached

UDHAMPUR, Dec 27: In a major crackdown against drug trafficking, Udhampur Police has attached immovable and movable properties worth approximately Rs 2 crores belonging to drug peddlers under Section 68(F) of the NDPS Act, in connection with cases registered at Police Station Rehambal.
Immovable property worth approximately Rs 1.30 crore belonging to Shakti Singh, son of Tarlok Singh of Ward number 17, Shankar Nagar, Udhampur has been attached in connection with FIR No. 72/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act of Police Station Rehambal.
The attached property includes Pucca residential house along with one Kanal of land falling under Khasra No. 491/593, situated at Shankar Nagar, District Udhampur.
In the second case, immovable and movable properties worth approximately Rs 70 Lakh belonging to Koushal Sharma alias Biru, son of Kaka Ram of Kambal Danga, Udhampur, have been attached in connection with FIR No. 113/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act of Police Station Rehambal.
The attached properties include Pucca residential house along with one Kanal of land falling under Khasra No. 618, situated at Kambal Danga, District Udhampur. and vehicle Mahindra Bolero bearing Registration No. JK14G-7724.
During the course of investigation, detailed financial scrutiny and backward linkage analysis established that these properties were acquired through proceeds of illicit narcotics trafficking. Based on these findings, the competent authority passed the attachment orders today and further proceedings under the NDPS Act are underway.
Udhampur Police’s NDPS property attachment tally for this year has now reached Rs 21.5 crore, showcasing its sustained offensive against drug peddlers.
