JAMMU, Dec 25: A joint delegation of All India Kashmiri Pandit Conference (AIKPC) and All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) called on Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, Dr Arvind Karvani here, today and held threadbare discussion on various pressing issues concerning the Kashmiri migrant community.
The delegation was headed by Rajinder Kilm, president AIKPC.
It demanded enhancement of cash relief in favor of migrants and appealed to CM and Relief and Rehabilitation Minister to solve the main problem which is being faced by relief holders.
The delegation demanded that the works division dealing with migrants related infrastructure and facilities be brought back with the administrative central at the Relief Commissioner’s Office to ensure better coordination accountability and timely execution of works.
It demanded release of pending ex. gratia for damaged houses. The delegation urged that the pending amount be released without any further delay as the affected families have been waiting for years for the same.
It also demanded a special employment package for KP youths, all welfare schemes including NAFSA be effectively implemented and extended to the KP community living in exile ensuring inclusive coverage and equal benefits. The delegation reiterated its commitment to safeguard the rights dignity and welfare of the displaced Kashmiri Pandit community and appealed to Government to address these genuine demands with urgency and sensitivity.
Other members of the delegation were M L Raina, J L Bhat , Opinder Lidoo, Sameer Raina, Ashok Kumar Bhat, Dileep Ji, Sanjay Dhar, Bharat Bushan Dhar and Ashok Koul.
