Bali Bhagat slams Cong for defending radical mobs

JAMMU, DEC 24: BJP senior leader and former Health Minister, Bali Bhagat today launched a fierce attack on the Congress party, saying its repeated attempts to justify or dilute violence against Hindus—this time in Bangladesh—expose its dangerous and anti-national mindset.
Reacting sharply to Congress leader, Digvijaya Singh’s remarks, Bhagat said calling the lynching of Hindus in Bangladesh a “reaction” is not just insensitive but outright shameful. “This is not a slip of the tongue. This is the Congress party’s ideological DNA—where Hindu lives are treated as expendable in pursuit of minority vote-bank politics,” he asserted.
Bhagat said when homes of Hindus are burnt, temples vandalised and people lynched in Bangladesh, Congress leaders rush to invent excuses instead of condemning radical mobs. “For Congress, human rights are selective. They cry foul over imaginary issues in India, but when real blood is spilled across the border, they suddenly discover ‘geopolitical context’,” he said.
Taking a swipe at the party’s past record, Bhagat reminded that Congress had earlier questioned India’s Surgical Strikes, demoralised the armed forces, and now appears to be echoing narratives that weaken India’s moral position globally. “From undermining our soldiers to legitimising radical violence, Congress has consistently stood on the wrong side of history,” he said.
He further said that by refusing to unequivocally condemn persecution of Hindus in neighbouring countries, Congress is sending a dangerous message to extremist forces. “This is not politics—this is moral collapse. The so-called ‘Mohabbat ki Dukaan’ of Congress is selling justification for atrocities against Hindus,” Bhagat remarked.
Calling upon the Congress leadership to introspect, Bhagat said the nation wants to know whether the party represents India’s people or acts as an intellectual shield for radical elements abroad. “India will not tolerate politics that trades national dignity and Hindu lives for electoral arithmetic,” he added.
