JAMMU, Dec 23: Dr Harbinder Singh Bali, a prominent surgeon of Jammu and Kashmir, was awarded the prestigious Fellowship of Surgery (FAIS) at ASICON 2025, Kolkatta in recognition of his expertise and experience in the field of Laparoscopic and General Surgery.
Dr Bali is a Senior Laparoscopic Surgeon working as Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery, Acharya Shri Chander College of Medical Sciences (ASCOMS), Jammu. He has mentored a number of Post Graduates and is actively involved in under graduate teaching. He is also the secretary of J&K Chapter of Association of Surgeons of India (JAKASI).
The fellowship was awarded to him recently in ASICON 2025 by Dr Praveen Suryavanshi, president of the Association of Surgeons of India (ASI). The event was attended by over 7000 delegates from all over the world. Around 25 surgeons from J&K also attended.
Dr Bali was also the part of panel discussion on ‘Salivary Gland Tumours’ and acted as one of the judges in assessing the free papers by PG students.
