JAMMU, Dec 22: Jammu and Kashmir Police today busted an inter-linked drug network and arrested five persons from Bahu Fort area here, recovering 345 grams of heroin from their possession.
A police official said on September 20, 2025, acting on specific information, police from Bahu Fort Police Station set up a naka at Railway Pulli, Narwal.
During checking, he said, one accused Vishal of Ludhiana, at present near Railway Pulli, Rajeev Nagar, was arrested.
The police official said a personal search of the accused led to the recovery of 275 grams of heroin and one electronic weighing machine from his possession.
Following the recovery, he said, a case FIR number 279/2025 under sections 8/21/22/29 of the NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Bahu Fort.
He added that during investigation, police established backward linkages and arrested two more accused, identified as Gogi and his wife Reema, both residents of Rajeev Nagar, Narwal, Jammu.
Police recovered 15 grams of heroin and one electronic weighing machine from their possession, he said, adding that further investigation led to the arrest of two more individuals, identified as Sahil alias Kotto of Amritsar, at present Rajeev Nagar and Rocky Singh of Rajeev Nagar, Jammu.
On their disclosure, police recovered 55 grams of heroin and aluminum foil used for packing, he said.
The seizure was made under the supervision of SP City South Ajay Sharma.
