RAJOURI, Dec 22: A major mishap was narrowly avoided in the Dhanore Loharan area today when a cowshed owned by Leela Devi, wife of Jeet Raj, suddenly caught fire under unexplained circumstances, triggering panic in the locality.
As per information from local sources, residents noticed flames and smoke billowing out of the cowshed, causing alarm among people living nearby. Acting swiftly, the matter was reported to the Fire and Emergency Services department, which immediately mobilized its team and rushed fire tenders to the spot.
On arrival, firefighters launched prompt firefighting operations and managed to contain the blaze in time. Their swift and coordinated efforts ensured that the fire did not spread to adjoining residential houses, thereby preventing a potentially disastrous situation and averting any loss of life.
Although the fire resulted in minor damage to property, no casualties were reported in the incident. The exact cause of the fire has not yet been determined, and concerned authorities have initiated an inquiry to ascertain the circumstances that led to the outbreak.
