MLA Bishnah launches Rs 58 lakh development works

BISHNAH, Dec 21: Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) Bishnah, Dr Rajeev Kumar Bhagat, today launched lane and drain development works worth Rs 58 lakh in different wards of Bishnah town.
As per a statement, the works have been started in Ward number 1, 2, 3 and 13, where residents have long complained about damaged lanes and blocked drains.
The new projects are expected to improve cleanliness, pedestrian movement and overall civic conditions in the town, it said.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Rajeev Kumar Bhagat said the BJP-led Government is committed to balanced development in all parts of the constituency.
He said proper drainage and well-built lanes are essential for a clean and healthy living environment, and these projects will help prevent waterlogging and related health issues.
Several party leaders and local residents were present at the inauguration.
Those who attended included District General Secretary Surjeet Singh Neta, former Corporator Surinder Singh Bubby, Mandal President Bishnah Sumit Sadotra, General Secretary Bishnah Kuldeep Sodi, and senior leaders Kuldeep Raj Billa, Arjun Singh, Bharat Bhushan, Ravi Kumar and Karan Singh, among others.
Local residents welcomed the initiative and thanked the MLA for addressing long-pending demands.
Dr Bhagat instructed the concerned departments to maintain quality standards and complete the works on time to avoid inconvenience to the public.
