RAJOURI, Dec 21: The police arrested two persons and recovered 43 grams of heroin in Sunderbani area of Rajouri district today.
Reports said a team from Police Station Sunderbani led by the SHO Sunderbani Inspector Rajiv Sharma during routine Naka checking signalled a Hyundai car bearing Registration No. JK02CT-5786 coming from Jammu towards Rajouri for checking. During checking, two persons were found on board the vehicle namely-
Shahzad Shabir, son of Saleem Raza. Resident of Ward No.4 Poonch and Farooq Ahmed, son of Abdul Rashid, resident of Ward No. 8, Rajouri.
During their personal search total 43 grams of a heroin was recovered from their possession In this regard a case FIR No. 78/2025 under relevant sections of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Sunderbani.
Both the accused persons have been arrested and the vehicle seized. Further investigation is underway to trace the forward and backward linkages of the arrested persons and to identify other individuals involved in the drug racket.
