RAJOURI, Dec 18: A 20-year-old youth was found dead under mysterious circumstances near his residence in the Nonial area of Nowshera subdivision in Rajouri district on Thursday, triggering concern among locals.
The deceased has been identified as Sukhvinder Singh, son of Inder Pal Singh, a resident of Nonial, Nowshera. The body was spotted at some distance from his house, following which information was immediately passed on to the police.
A police team led by Station House Officer, Police Station Nowshera, Inspector Arjun Mangotra, rushed to the spot. The body was taken into custody and shifted to the hospital for postmortem examination to ascertain the exact cause of death.
Police have initiated proceedings under relevant sections of law and an investigation is underway. Further details are awaited as the investigation is in progress.
