JAMMU, Dec 16: Shree Hari Prabhu Sanstha organised a free medical camp at its Ashray, Nagrota Gujroo.
Renowned ophthalmologist Dr. Ankur Goel from Goel Eye & Retina Centre, Jammu examined a large number of patients during the camp and 50 patients were diagnosed for cataract surgery, which will be conducted free of cost at Udhampur Hospital on three different scheduled days.
Free medicines were distributed to the patients while the Rotary Club provided eye glasses to 40 patients as per their vision requirements.
Dr. Kanav Padha (Orthopaedics) attended the patients suffering from joint and bone-related ailments and delivered an awareness lecture on bone and joint care.
The medical camp was sponsored by Harinder Gupta, chairman of Shree Hari Prabhu Sanstha.
On this occasion, Dr. K.B Gupta (Paediatrics) distributed warm clothes and bedding to seven flood-affected families of Ramkot, who were adopted by the Sanstha during the heavy rains earlier this year.
Lunch for all the attendees was arranged by Dr. K.B Gupta in the loving memory of his wife, Late Poonam Rani.
One of core members P.N Jalla donated Rs10000 for repair of damaged house of a Machhedi resident.
The camp concluded with melodious songs by Shori Lal Gupta followed by a vote of thanks by Sansar Chand Gupta, president Shree Hari Prabhu Sanstha.
