HIRANAGAR, Dec 13: MLA Hiranagar, Vijay Sharma has said that Aatmanirbhar Bharat is not just a slogan, it is a nationwide movement.
“Use of local products not only creates new employment opportunities but it also strengthens the rural economy. The government is running many schemes for this and it is our responsibility to ensure that their benefits reach the people,” he further said.
The MLA was addressing a gathering during a programme here today under Aatmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan.
BJP J&K general secretary and State Headquarters Incharge, Sanjita Dogra while speaking on the occasion said that every citizen of the country should give up foreign goods and adopt indigenous products to promote local items.
She said that it is the responsibility of all of us to take PM Modi’s call for Aatmanirbhar Bharat to every household.
BJP Kathua District president, Updesh Andotra said that adopting Swadeshi is the need of the hour.
On this occasion, Aatmanirbhar Bharat pledge was also taken to adopt indigenous goods and everyone supported it.
BJP District general secretary, Gagan Singh and many other party workers were also present on the occasion.
