JAMMU, Dec 5: Executive and Advisory Committee of Association of Industries, Gangyal reviewed the preparations for the upcoming meeting with the Union Home Minister, Amit Shah.
A meeting of the AOI office bearers was held at Gangyal under the chairmanship of its president, Virendra Jain and attended by the office bearers- SB Abrol, Sandeep Ohri, Sanjay Langar, Ajay Mahajan and Jatinder Singh to specifically deliberate upon the key issues being faced by the Industrial sector of Jammu. The members raised the issue regarding the upcoming meeting of the Apex Committee meeting tentatively scheduled for December 2025 to be held under the Chairmanship of Home Minister Amit Shah.
All the senior members of Association emphasized that being the largest organization of Micro/Small units of Jammu region, AOI is duty bound to draw the attention of the Home Minister towards the current plight of local Micro/Small units and seek favourable resolution of the problems being faced by them.
Association has urged the Govt of India to ensure that all the Fiscal/Industrial incentives envisaged for new units are also extended uniformly to all existing units. AOI also considered appropriate to expedite the process of anciliarisation with mandatory provision of minimum 50% reservation for local Micro/Small units in case of all the new units being set up under NCSS or otherwise. This step is solely aimed for creation of newer job opportunities within the existing Micro/Small units.
Association of Industries invited the attention of the J&K Govt to expeditiously finalize New Industrial Policy for establishment and growth of industry in J&K. The members also raised the issue of non-availability of Fiscal Incentive to the industrial units who undergone for substantial expansion/ change of line of activity/additional line of activity.
