JAMMU, Dec 4: MLA Bahu Ch. Vikram Randhawa today inaugurated major development works under the National Clean Air Programme (NCAP) being carried out by the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) at Chowadhi. The programme aims to improve environmental conditions, strengthen civic infrastructure, and provide long-term benefits to local residents.
The inauguration was held in the presence of senior officials from JMC, district general secretary, Kulveer Singh Charak, Mandal president, Surjeet Singh, and members of the district and Mandal team, along with local dignitaries of the area.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Randhawa said that the initiative, with an investment of Rs 75 lakh, is part of a focused effort to enhance cleanliness, reduce pollution levels, and upgrade civic facilities. He added that works under NCAP directly contribute to creating a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable environment for the people of Chowadhi.
MLA Randhawa appreciated the efforts of JMC officials for implementing these works with dedication and maintaining high quality standards. He said that Chowadhi is witnessing rapid development, and more projects are being planned to address long-pending demands of the residents.
He further assured that all ongoing and upcoming works will be completed in a time-bound and transparent manner, ensuring maximum public benefit. Randhawa thanked the people for their support and reaffirmed his commitment to accelerating development across Chowadhi and nearby areas.
