POONCH, Dec 1: One person was killed while another seriously injured, in a road accident in Mendhar area of Poonch district today evening.
A police spokesman said that a tractor met with an accident in Chhungan area of Mendhar Sub Division, resulting in critical injuries to the two persons. Both were shifted to CHC Mendhar, where one of them, namely Mohd Azeem (47), son of Faiz Mohd, was declared brought dead, while the condition of other, namely– Murtaza Ahmad (24), is said to be serious.
BMO Mendhar, Dr Ashfaq Chaudhary confirmed the incident and said that Murtaza was being referred to GMC Rajouri. The police has taken cognizance of the incident.
