JAMMU, Nov 26: Director Health Services Jammu (DHSJ), Dr Abdul Hamid Zargar, along with Divisional ASHA Coordinator Jonson Chandail, conducted an official visit to district Udhampur today to review the implementation and progress of key health programmes.
The assessment covered major verticals such as Home Deliveries, NCD, Ayushman Bharat–HWCs, RBSK, RCH, Immunization, NTCP, NMHP, the Scan & Share initiative and other national flagship schemes.
The review meeting began in the Conference Hall with a detailed, data-backed presentation by Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Udhampur, Dr Anil Manhas. He shared updates on institutional delivery strategies, NCD screening coverage, ABHA ID generation, treatment initiation and block-wise performance. He also presented indicators on HWC service delivery, HR status, tele-consultation utilization, wellness activities and RBSK screening and referral outcomes, along with DEIC functioning.
Immunization coverage, left-out/drop-out analysis, AEFI reporting, microplanning, maternal and child health indicators, HRP tracking, and JSY/JSSK implementation were also outlined. Progress under TB, IDSP, NVBDCP, NTCP, NMHP and the district’s performance under the Scan & Share initiative — including daily QR-based OPD scans and facility-wise compliance — was comprehensively reviewed.
Dr Zargar held focused deliberations on data quality, manpower deployment, community outreach and block-wise gaps. He stressed strengthening monitoring and supervision, improving timely reporting across all health portals, enhancing ASHA engagement and ensuring proper field documentation. He also underscored the need for 100% Scan & Share compliance to promote digital health services and reduce manual workload.
The visit concluded with time-bound directives to bridge gaps, ensure measurable improvements before the next review and enhance coordination across all programme units for stronger health service delivery in Udhampur.
