Srinagar, Nov 23: Police in north Kashmir’s Sopore today arrested a drug peddler during a naka on Shalpora-Tujjer road, recovering charas from his possession.
Authorities said that peddler attempted to flee on noticing the naka party, but the alert team acted and apprehended him tactfully.
“He has been identified as Faheem Sultan Wagay son of Mohammad Sultan Wagay, resident of Warpora Sopore,” police said.
During the search, as per police, charas was recovered from his possession.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 69/2025 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Bomai and investigation has been initiated.
