MARA NAGROTA, Nov 20: Col. Mahan Singh (Retd), DDC Chairman Kathua here today started blacktopping work of two vital link roads in Pretha Panchayat.
The works include 800 meter Nagrota-Batadia Mohalla link road and 200 meter Basohli-Mahanpur to Jamwal Mohalla Khudku link road and the project costing Rs 50 lakh is being executed by PWD Division Basohli under the C&T Plan for the financial year 2025-26.
A large number of residents, including Capt. (Retd) Des Raj, Karam Chand (Ex-ZEO), Parkash Singh (Ex-Sarpanch), Sardari Lal and others were also present during the event.
While addressing the public, Col. Mahan Singh underscored Central Government’s commitment to expand durable and modern infrastructure. He highlighted several development schemes initiated by PM Modi led Government emphasizing their transformative impact on rural and semi-urban regions of Kathua.
He further appealed to the people of Kathua to contribute wholeheartedly to the Viksit Bharat mission launched by the PM.
The DDC Chairman encouraged the residents to use Swadeshi products.
