ANANTNAG, Nov 20: In order to prevent the misuse of the agricultural chemicals and to ensure strict compliance, Jammu and Kashmir Police today inspected several chemical, fertilizer, and hardware shops in the Anantnag town.
A police official said the inspections were carried out by the teams of Police Stations and Police Posts under the supervision of the senior officers.
The checking focussed on verifying stock records, sale registers, licences, storage practises, and overall adherence to safety protocols to curb any illegal diversion or misuse of regulated materials, he said.
Officials stated that such inspection drives will continue to promote accountability, uphold lawful trade practices, and enhance public safety.
They also advised the shopkeepers to maintain proper documentation and cooperate full during inspections.
