Five injured, vehicles damaged in scuffle at wedding function

SAMBA, Nov 10: A scuffle broke out between two groups during a wedding function in Palth village of Samba, leaving five people injured and several vehicles damaged.
Reports said the incident occurred when a wedding procession from Chadhwa village near Mansar reached Palth, where a heated argument between two men over a minor issue turned violent, leading to a clash between the two sides.
In the ensuing fight, five people from the bride’s side, including three brothers, sustained injuries, said reports.
The injured individuals, identified as Afshan Ali, Shafaqt Ali, Mohd Haroon, Mohd Arshen, and Yassir Hussain, were shifted to District Hospital Samba for treatment.
Reports further said that the clash also resulted in damage to nearly half a dozen vehicles, including one that suffered major damage.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the matter and initiated further action into the matter.
