SRINAGAR, Nov 9: The elections of the Jammu Kashmir Officer’s Association (JKOA), Kashmir unit was held here today.
During the elections, the panel headed by Com Zubair Rasool Mir emerged as victorious.
Among other members of the team, who won the elections were Com Ishatiaq Ahmed, senior vice president, Com Saqib Showkat as vice president, Com John Mohd Sofi as the General Secretary, Com Muneer Ahmed Ganai as the assistant General Secretary, Com Imtiaz Ahmad Punjabi as the organising Secretary, Com Manzoor Ahmed Masoodi as the Secretary-1, Com Shaista Amin as the Secretary-2, Com Mohd Iqbal Bazaz as the Treasurer and Com Shariq Mohd Shah was elected as the assistant Treasurer.
The members of Jammu and Kashmir Officer’s Association, Jammu unit heartily congratulated the Kashmir Unit lead by Zubair Rassol for winning the elections.
Kapil Nanada, president AIJKBOF on behalf of federation also expressed heartfelt congratulations to the organising committee for successfully conduct of election and to all the members for participating in the festival of democracy.
“Being major constituents of AIJKBOF, we foresee formation of a strong federation alognwith other units which would surely play a key role to meet the expectations of Officer’s fraternity,” he said.
