BISHNAH, Oct 27: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jammu and Kashmir General Secretary and former Deputy Mayor, Baldev Singh Billawaria today stated that Indian youth have the power to transform the destiny and direction of the country.
“If our youth are strong, educated, drug-free and self-reliant, no force can stop India from becoming a Vishwa Guru (world leader),” he said, urging them to play an active role in nation-building.
Billawaria was addressing a “Yuva Sammelan” (Youth Conference) organized in the Bishnah Assembly Constituency under the banner of “Atmanirbhar Bharat” (Self-Reliant India).
Speaking on the occasion, he said, “Under the visionary leadership of PM Narendra Modi, India is rapidly advancing towards self-reliance and Jammu & Kashmir has emerged as a key contributor to this transformation. Today, the youth of Jammu & Kashmir are not just job seekers but job providers, embodying the true spirit of Atmanirbhar Bharat based on self-respect, determination and dedication.”
Billawaria said, “Significant improvements in roads, education, healthcare and agriculture have taken place under the guidance of the local leadership and the progressive policies of the Modi Government. Our priority is to make Bishnah a truly self-reliant constituency where every youth, farmer and woman can stand on their own feet.”
He also raised concern over drug abuse, describing it as one of the biggest challenges before society.
“Drug addiction destroys the future of youth and weakens the foundation of families and communities. The fight against this menace must become a collective social movement,” he emphasized.
Among others who were present during the event included J&K BJP Secretary Arun Sharma, District president Rinku Choudhary, Kissan Morcha president Rakesh Pant, Rajinder Singh Chib, Ashok Virdhi, Surjeet Singh and others.
