Telangana Raj Bhavan illuminated in pink to mark breast cancer awareness month

HYDERABAD, Oct 27: The Telangana Raj Bhavan was illuminated in pink today evening, marking International Breast Cancer Awareness Month for the sixth consecutive year.
The symbolic gesture, continued since 2020, reflects the State’s commitment to spreading awareness about early detection and support for those battling breast cancer.
The initiative was organised in collaboration with the Ushalakshmi Breast Cancer Foundation.
Governor of Telangana, Jishnu Dev Varma, commended Dr P Raghu Ram, Founder and Chairman of the Foundation, for his 18 years of tireless work in breast cancer education, advocacy, and patient support.
The Governor emphasised that early detection remains the key to saving lives and called for collective efforts to ensure that awareness initiatives reach every section of society.
The pink illumination of Raj Bhavan stands as a glowing symbol of Telangana’s dedication to public health, women’s empowerment, and compassionate awareness in the fight against breast cancer, a Raj Bhavan communique said.
