JAMMU, Oct 23: A police constable was injured after he was attacked with a sharp weapon by a youth at Panjtirthi area here, officials said.
One Amit Rana of Chowgan Slathia, Panjtirthi, attacked a team of Police Post Panjtirthi on October 21 with a sharp weapon (toka) when the latter were trying to detain him on the complaint of some locals, a police official said.
In the attack, one police official sustained injuries, he said, adding that he was admitted to a local hospital, where his condition is stated to be stable.
Meanwhile, police have arrested and booked the accused under the relevant sections of the law registered at Police Station Pacca Danga and started further investigation into the matter.
