UDHAMPUR, Oct 5: Police party of PP Tikri during routine naka checking at Tikri apprehended one person from Manthal side towards Udhampur. On seeing the naka party, the said person tried to escape but was swiftly intercepted by the police party.
During his personal search, 5.17 grams of heroin was recovered from his possession following which he was taken into custody. The accused was identified as Waseem Akram, son of Mohd Saleem, resident of Rahi Mohalla, Kawa, Udhampur.
In this regard, case FIR number 157/2025, under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Rehambal and the investigation has been taken up.
