Stolen property worth Rs 1.3L recovered within 24 hours

JAMMU, Oct 2: With the arrest of one individual besides recovery of stolen property from his possession, Jammu and Kashmir Police in Jhajjar Kotli area today claimed they have worked out a theft case within 24 hours of reporting of the crime.
A police official said that a case FIR number 120/2025 under section 303(2) of the BNS was registered at Police Station Jhajjar Kotli on the complaint of one Sanedra Solani of APCO Infra Tech Private Limited, who alleged theft of construction material worth Rs 1.3 lakh.
Acting swiftly on the complaint, he said, one Ajid Hussain of Kheri, Janipur, Jammu, was detained for questioning after detailed investigation carried out by a team of Police Station Jhajjar Kotli under the supervision of Inspector Vikas Dogra, SHO concerned.
During sustained questioning, the detained individual admitted to his involvement in the crime and on his disclosure, the stolen construction material worth around 1, 30, 000 was recovered from his possession within 24 hours, the police official said.
Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway, he said.
