Public darbar in Dinga Amb

JAMMU, Oct 1: MLA Jasrota, Rajiv Jasrotia today held a public darbar in Dinga Amb, providing a platform for the local community to raise their grievances and concerns. The programme was attended by senior officials, including SDM Hiranagar, Phulail Singh, SDPO Border, Dheeraj Katoch, BDO Dingaamb Akhil Bahu, and other departmental representatives.
The public raised various issues, including restoration of road connectivity, drinking water supply, flood protection, and compensation for private property damaged due to recent floods. Demands were made for restoration of roads towards Galman, Dabi to Babiti, and Baloute, as well as rural paths by RDD. The public demanded drinking water supply to Badouli, Mangloor West, and other Kandi areas.
The public sought restoration of landslides and flood protection in areas damaged due to recent floods. Demands were made for compensation for private property damaged due to floods. Ex-Sarpanches demanded posting of MBBS doctor at Dingaamb Sub Centre.
MLA Jasrota assured the public that he will take up each issue with the district administration and provide funding out of CDF for restoration of flooded areas. He advised sectoral officers to prepare proposals for early restoration of supplies in flood-affected areas. SDM Hiranagar Phulail Singh assured the MLA and public that issues will be addressed within a time frame and directed sectoral officers to examine public demands. The public complimented the MLA and Subdivisional administration for swift help, relief, and restoration during recent floods.
The public darbar in Dinga Amb demonstrated the commitment of Rajiv Jasrotia and the Subdivisional administration to address public grievances and concerns. The event highlighted the importance of community engagement and responsive governance in addressing local issues.
