RAJOURI, Sept 28: In a swift action, Police in Kalakote foiled a bovine smuggling attempt and rescued seven animals.
During patrolling at Nambal Broh, Kalakote, a party from Police Station Kalakote, led by SDPO Kalakote Surinder Mohan, noticed one person moving on foot towards Rajouri with seven bovine animals. On spotting the police party, the individual abandoned the animals and fled the spot.
Upon verification, it was found that the animals were being taken without valid permission. All seven bovine animals were rescued.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 67/2025 U/S 223 BNS, 11 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Kalakote.
