JAMMU, Sept 27: NGO ‘The-Sara’ under its flagship mission TAWI provided water purifiers to flood hit families at Government High School Dilwan, Kathua.
The initiative benefited 34 families, ensuring access to safe drinking water and reducing the risk of waterborne diseases in the aftermath of the floods.
The NGO also donated water purifiers to Government High School, Dilwan, to support the students and staff with safe and clean drinking water.
The distribution programme witnessed the participation of ex-Sarpanches, PRI members, community representatives and locals.
Headmistress of the School, Nidhi Gupta, Shiv Dev Singh and other staff members of GHS Dilwan appreciated the NGO’s timely intervention and commitment to serve the most affected and vulnerable households.
Speaking on the occasion, representatives of ‘The- Sara’ emphasized the NGO’s dedication to reaching untouched and underserved communities during disasters.
They also extended gratitude to the staff of GHS Dilwan and local PRI members for their active involvement and support in smooth execution of the relief programme.
