JAMMU, Sept 26: The Jammu and Kashmir Government today ordered the promotion of 19 JKAS officers to their next administrative scales.

As per an order issued by the General Administration Department, five Special Scale JKAS officers of the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS)-Dr Ghulam Nabi Itoo, Tariq Hussain Ganai, Mohammad Rafi, Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza, and Rubina Kousar-have been promoted to the Super Time Scale of the JKAS.
Consequent upon their promotion, officers Dr Ghulam Nabi Itoo, Tariq Hussain Ganai, and Rubina Kousar have been designated as Director General in their respective departments and rest of the officers have been asked to continue at their present places of the postings, till further orders.
Another order said that six JKAS officers-Parvez Sajad Ganai, Vir Krishan Dhar, Tahir Firdous Dutta, Shokat Mehmood, Vishal Sharma, and Des Raj Bhagat-were promoted to the Special Scale of the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service.
The order further said that three of the promoted officers, Vir Krishan Dhar, Shokat Mehmood, and Vishal Sharma, have been designated as Special Secretary in their respective departments and rest of them have been asked to continue at their respective places of postings, till further orders.
Meanwhile, as per a third order issued by the Government, eight JKAS officers-Parvinder Kour, Manu Hansa, Nasir Mahmood Khan, Ahsanul Haq Chisti, Mohamad Ashraf, Towfeeq Ahmad Gazi, Sanjeev Sharma, and Sunaini Saini-have been promoted to the Selection Grade of the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service.
Consequently, the order said, one of the promoted officers, Mohamad Ashraf has been designated as Additional Secretary to the Government in the respective department and rest of the officers have been directed to continue at their present places of postings, till further orders.
