Jammu, Sept 26: Director Tourism Jammu, Dr. Vikas Gupta, attended the International & French Travel Market (IFTM) – TOP Resa 2025, held from 23rd to 25th September at Expo Porte de Versailles, Paris.
The prestigious global travel and tourism exhibition is one of the leading platforms for international networking, collaboration, and showcasing destinations before key stakeholders of the global tourism industry.
During the event, he actively engaged with dignitaries and stakeholders from across the world at the Indian Pavilion managed by SEPC, where other states such as Gujarat, Rajasthan and Bihar were also represented alongside J&K, highlighting the diverse tourism potential of Jammu & Kashmir.
He showcased the Union Territory’s breathtaking natural landscapes, wide-ranging adventure opportunities, rich spiritual heritage and vibrant cultural traditions, positioning J&K as a year-round travel destination. At the J&K stall, he also presented the publicity material to various international stakeholders, further enhancing the destination’s global visibility and outreach.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Vikas Gupta, said that Jammu & Kashmir Tourism is soaring to new heights under the guidance of Dr. Ashish Chander Verma, Additional Chief Secretary/Financial Commissioner, Tourism Department, with a strong commitment of the J&K Government to provide world-class facilities, seamless connectivity and enriching experiences for every visitor.
He further added that Jammu & Kashmir is a land of extraordinary beauty and diverse experiences, where vibrant culture, spiritual heritage, thrilling adventure, MICE opportunities, eco-tourism, and niche offerings such as golf and wedding tourism come together to create something truly unique for every traveller. He highlighted that alongside iconic destinations such as Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine in Katra, Patnitop, Bhaderwah, Gulmarg, Sonamarg, Pahalgam, Gurez, Jammu, and Basohli, the Union Territory is also emerging as a premier hub for adventure, golf, and MICE tourism, with landmark events like the G20 Summit, Formula-4 motorsport on Dal Lake, and national-level conventions showcasing J&K’s growing global profile.
He extended a warm invitation to all exhibitors, media, and stakeholders at IFTM-TOP Resa Paris to explore J&K, engage with the communities, and discover why it is not just a destination, but an unforgettable journey that leaves a lasting impression on the heart and soul.
He visited various pavilions from countries such as China, Poland, Finland, and the USA, interacted with international exhibitors, presented the publicity material of J&K Tourism, and extended a warm invitation to explore Jammu & Kashmir. He also attended the event organized by the Indian Embassy in France.
