JAMMU, Sept 18: In a commendable display of social responsibility and compassion, students from the Marketing and Supply Chain Management (MSCM) program at the School of Business Studies, Central University of Jammu, have initiated a flood relief drive to aid those impacted by recent floods in the region.
The students collected and donated essential relief items, providing much-needed support to affected families.
The collected relief materials were formally handed over to the Red Cross Society for distribution among the flood victims. The handover took place in the distinguished presence of G R Bhardwaj, Additional SP, Samba, and Anju Bala, Tehsildar Head Quarter Samba. Both officials lauded the students for their proactive efforts and compassionate gesture, highlighting the importance of such initiatives in strengthening community bonds during times of crisis.
The initiative received immense encouragement from Prof Neelika Arora, Dean, School of Business Studies, and Dr Vinay Kumar, Head of the Department. The drive was conducted under the direct guidance of Assistant Professor Dr Anju Thapa. The active support and assistance of other faculty members, including Dr Naresh Sharma, Dr Arun Yadav, and Dr Shahid Mushtaq, were also instrumental in the successful organization of the collection drive, ensuring that the students’ efforts would make a tangible difference.
