JAMMU, Sept 15: The literary contribution of two eminent Hindi writers Dr Agnishekhar and Dr Kshama Kaul from J&K was Internationally hailed and acclaimed as unyielding voice of lakhs of Kashmir Pandit victims of genocide and exile by Eminent Overseas Litterateurs writers, thinkers, media icons and host of other public intellectuals who attended the award giving ceremony from across the Ontario, Edmonton, Toronto and other provinces of Canada.
In an impressive literary function organised by Hindi Writers Guild Canada at 20 Deviselm Drive L6S 0E6, Brampton both Agnishekhar and Kshama Kaul were conferred with the prestigious Sahitya Srijan Samman-2025.
While speaking on the occasion Sanjeev Saklani, HOD of Chancery of Consulate General highlighted the significance of their literature of exile consciousness as uncompromising evidence to support their literary assertions to resist the ethno- cultural onslaught.
Dr.Shailja Saxena Founding Director of the Writers Guild while welcoming the Award winning writers underlined the significance of their works in contemporary Hindi Literature congratulated Agnishekhar and Kshama Kaul for attaining distinguished literary accolades. Noted actor and Cultural Activist Vidhya Bhushan Dhar, who also anchored the function, eulogized the critical study of their works in the present Indian context. The other distinguished speakers appreciated this literature has kept alive the memory of forced displacement, struggle and resilience of the suffering masses.
Host of young writers recited the poems of Agnishekhar and Kshama Kaul. Among other dignitaries who attended the function included Tahir Aslam Gora, Vinod Munshi president KOAC, Anita Jalali present ICKG ,Prof Jaya Parimoo, Dr Bhushan Bhat ,Halima Khandey, Ragini, Himalaya,
Dr Archana Kaul and others.
