Absconder held after 21 years: Police

JAMMU, Sept 11: Police in Jhajjar Kotli area today claimed they have arrested an individual, who was evading his arrest for the last 21 years.
A police official said that the accused, Makhan of Kotli Miran Sahib, Jammu, was wanted in connection with a criminal case FIR number 52/2004 registered under Section 188 of the RPC and Section 3 of the PCA Act at Police Station Jhajjar Kotli.
He said a warrant under section 512 of the CrPC was also issued against him but he was constantly evading his arrest for the past 21 years.
Acting on specific inputs today, a team from Police Station Jhajjar Kotli, led by SHO Inspector Vikas Dogra, executed the arrest warrant by apprehending the accused, said the police official.
According to him, the accused is scheduled to be produced before the court tomorrow.
