UDHAMPUR, Sept 11: In a sustained drive against drug trafficking, Udhampur Police achieved another success by apprehending three inter-state narco smugglers and recovering 250 grams of heroin from their possession.
Reports said that during a routine naka checking at Battal Majalta, a vehicle (Registration number PB08FM- 4157) coming from Ramkote towards Udhampur was intercepted by a police team of Police Station Majalta.
The occupants of the vehicle were identified as Darvinderpal, son of Rughveer Singh, resident of Garha, Jalandhar; Manjeet Singh, son of Gurnam Singh, resident of Hari Pura, Amritsar; Bikramjit Kumar, son of Sukhraj, resident of Aima Khurad, Punjab.
On thorough checking of the vehicle occupants, 250 gms of heroin was recovered from their possession. All three smugglers were immediately arrested on the spot.
In this regard, case FIR No. 71/2025 under relevant sections of the NDPS Act (8/21/22) has been registered at Police Station Majalta and further investigation is in progress.
