JAMMU, Sept 10: The T.R Gupta Public Charitable Trust here today organized a relief camp at a Gurudwara in Indira Colony, Miran Sahib in collaboration with Sub Divisional Magistrate, RS Pura. On this occasion the flood victim families due to flooded Balole Nallah were provided relief materials. Besides the Trustees, SDM RS Pura, Anuradha was also present on the occasion.
On behalf of the Trust, Dr. Ashok Gupta distributed the relief items to 64 persons. These relief items included mattresses, bed sheets and blankets. The inmates of the Gurudwara and a temple were also provided relief and the flood victims thanked the Trustees for their help in this hour of distress.
Dr. Ashok Gupta apprised the people that the Trust was very much moved by the devastation caused to the property of the people in the affected areas and its Chairman T.R Gupta, a well-known philanthropist of J&K has directed the Trustees to provide relief in consultation with local administration.
He also apprised the people about other activities of the Trust including medical and social help to the needy and free medical checkup at its multi- specialists polyclinic set up at Marble Market with diagnostic amenities.
The SDM hailed the Trustees for noble gesture.
Trustees present on the occasion were Rajinder Motial, Naresh Gupta, Kailash Langer and Er. Ajay Sabharwal. Manager Raman Pargal and other revenue officers of the area also helped in organizing the camp.
Last week, the Trust provided relief to about hundred flood victims at Rajeev Colony.
