Kashmir Sub Area Inter-School Girls Throwball tourney concludes

SRINAGAR, Aug 30: The Kashmir Sub Area Inter-School Girls Throwball Tournament 2025 concluded with excitement and sportsmanship at Govt. Girls Hr. Sec. School, Kothibagh, here today. In a thrilling final, Alpha Public Secondary School, Batapora emerged as champions after defeating GHSS Zadibal by 2-0.
A total of eight schools, both Government and private, participated in the tournament, showcasing the region’s growing interest in sports. The closing ceremony was attended by Col. Harish R, Commanding Officer, 110 Inf Battalion (TA) Madras, who was the chief guest. Advocate Junaid Syed, Chairman of Saving the Future NGO, along with the Principal of GHSS Kothibagh and senior faculty members, were also present.
Medals, trophies, and certificates were distributed to the winners and runners-up. The event was supervised by Numan Sofi, Trustee of STF. Additionally, selection trials for the upcoming Junior National Throw ball Championship 2025 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, were held as part of the tournament. The event was jointly organized by the J&K 7 Side Throwball Association in collaboration with Saving the Future NGO (STF).
