Police seize large quantity of synthetic paneer

JAMMU, Aug 27: The Jammu and Kashmir Police in Bus Stand area today seized a large quantity of synthetic paneer and later handed it over to the Food Safety Department.
During routine patrolling and checking in the New Bus Stand area, a consignment of suspected synthetic paneeer was found loaded on a parked bus, a police official said.
It was immediately brought to the Police Station Bus Stand, and as per procedure, the Food and Safety Department was informed through a wireless message for further verification and necessary legal action, he said.
Acting promptly, he said, Inspectors Vikas Gupta and Anju Verma from the Food Safety Department reached the police station, who were handed over the paneer after completion all legal formalities for detailed chemical analsysis and further proceedings under the law.
